First few days in the hospital

We spent a few days in the hospital since Mommy had a C-Section. The day you were born Grandma and Grandpa came to see you at the hospital. They fell in love with you the moment they saw you! I remember seeing Grandma get teary eyed the first time she saw you! Grandma came to the hospital every day. She would cuddle with you while Mommy and Daddy got some sleep. She would also dance with you! You loved when grandma would hold you and dance, you would fall fast asleep!

Mommy and Daddy held you the WHOLE time we were in the hospital! We would take turn holding you as we slept. You would sleep on our chests. We loved holding you in our arms. Mommy and Daddy didnt get much sleep in the hospital because the nurses kept waking us up.

The first song Mommy ever sang to you was, "You are my sunshine." I would sing that to you in the hospital. It would make Daddy cry every time I sang to you.

Daddy was the first one to change you diaper and to give you a bath. You peed on daddy the day you were born! Mommy laughed. Daddy did a great job giving you a bath. It made him really nervous. You didn't like getting a bath to much, but you did like when we would run warm water over your hair. Mommy and Daddy loved washing your hair because when it dried it was stick straight up!
We had to put baby mittens on your hands because you would try to scratch your face ALL the time! Grandpa would call your mittens your boxing gloves. You would always have you hands up by face, it looked like you were ready to box!

Daddy would swaddle you in the hospital so that you wouldn't wake yourself up when you were sleeping.

Mommy's first nickname for you when you were born was Bubba. Daddy loved when I would call you Bubba!

We were so excited when we got to take you home on Friday. You were too small for your car seat but you looked so cute in your seat! We stopped at grandma and grandpa's house on the way home so you could eat. Grandpa held you for the first time!
