Minnesota Surprise!

This past Friday was my last day at work. Kyle came to pick me up from work and asked if I wanted to go out to eat at our favorite restaurant. I thought it was kinda weird because Kyle and I talked early that afternoon and we decided that we would go out Saturday afternoon instead of Friday night, and we would just eat at home on Friday. But Kyle seemed so excited to go out to dinner on Friday I said sure, lets go out to eat. When we got to the restaurant we walked inside and there was a lady and her little boy standing in line to place an order. Kyle starts walking past them, like he was going to cut them in line. I pull him back, because I thought Kyle was trying to cut them in line, which is very weird for Kyle. The waitress comes over and directs us to our table. Little did I know that when I walked around the corner of the restaurant my mom and dad were sitting in the booth waiting for me! I was so shocked! I had NO IDEA they were coming. It was an awesome surprise! I was so excited that they came and I was able to show them our place and we got to do a lot of fun stuff while they were in town. After we ate at the restaurant, we all went back to our house where Spikie was waiting for us! Spike also made the trip to Minnesota. He was obsessed with the squirrels, while he was here.

On Saturday we all went to Cabela's and went out to eat at The Big 10. Then we did some grocery shopping to get food for Easter dinner. I made chocolate chip cookies while my mom made an apple pie. We also made a ham, mashed potatoes, and green bean casserole. Sweet Pea loved all the food!

On Sunday we went to the Mall of America. Kyle and I have never gone since we have moved here. It was awesome to see the mall. We had a ton of fun looking around. We also went to the Rainforest Cafe while we were there. Again Sweet Pea loved the food! ;)

Overall, Kyle and I both said it was the best weekend we've had since we have been to Minnesota. I'm so happy my parents came to visit! It will be a wonderful memory.
