It's amazing how in the same week I could have one of the best moments and one of the worst moments in my life. This Monday, as you all know Kyle and I were going back for our 2nd doctors appointment. This appointment we would be able to hear the heartbeat and do the ultrasound. Hearing the heartbeat for the first time was incredible! It was such an amazing feeling to hear the baby for the first time :) Then being able to see the baby on the ultra sound made it that much better! It was so fun to watch the baby move around on the ultra sound. It was still till early to find out the sex of the baby but Kyle and I were both over the moon excited to be able to see our Sweet Pea for the first time! Here are a couple ultra sound pictures.
The first picture you can see the babies face, body, arm and hand. It kinda looks like Sweet pea is waving, and loving the camera already :D Sweet Pea is going to be very photogenic

The 2nd ultra sound picture is of sweet pea's foot. You can see it pressed up against my belly.

Like I said early this was one of the best and worst weeks all wrapped into one. On Wednesday March 14 my family said goodbye to our dog Buster. :( It is so hard to say goodbye, but I know its more like I will see you later. Buster was the best dog! He was so loving and funny. I miss you Bakes and I loved you so much!

Our last family picture of the 6 of us. (or I should say 7 of us because sweet pea was just a couple weeks old in this picture, I just didn't know it yet)

This weekend we had wonderful weather is Minnesota. It was in the upper 60's - 70's all weekend. It was sunny and just beautiful outside. Kyle and I tried to spend as much time outside as possible. We took our beach towels outside, layed them in the grass and enjoyed the weather. Kyle worked on homework while I skyped with my mom and listened to music. We were both happy little clams being outside this weekend.

You can see it wasn't bikini weather just yet but it was still beautiful! Our next door neighbors had a St. Patrick's day party/grill out on Saturday. It was nice to hang out with all the federated couples. Four of the federated wives including myself are pregnant right now, so lots of baby talk :)

Kyle was able to get a lot of his work done outside this weekend. He is ready for a weekend with no homework, but at least he was able to enjoy the weather and work at the same time! What do you think of Kyle's new haircut? This is the shortest I have ever seen his hair but I love it!

One of the guys who is in the federated training program gave us their old stroller! :) His wife wanted a running stroller and didn't have a need for this one any more. I was so excited that they gave it to us! I think they were also happy to get rid of it, because it is one less thing they have to move home in a couple week :P The stroller is grey and blue, but it is in great condition. The brand of the stroller is Graco.

On Friday when Kyle and I got home from work we cleaned the house, did the laundry, made dinner etc. Then at 9:00 one of our favorite shows came on. So we were watching our show and about 10 minutes before the show was over I fell asleep. Kyle thought it would be funny to take a video! :)
I love this blog! So happy to see Sweet Pea for the first time!!! It really does look like waving ;). Can't wait to see Sweet Pea in person.
ReplyDeleteThe tribute to Buster was beautiful! We all loved Buster SO much! I loved seeing all the pictures you posted too!
What a nice stroller! When I saw the picture of Kyle with the stroller, all I could think about was a Flintstone episode where they said " now, there goes a hen pecked husband!". You will have to find it :)
Glad you had nice weather too! You must have picked the warmest weather Minnesota has ever had.
